My 3 year old got this from Santa for Xmas and he loves it! The sound effects are great, hoorah! Easy to fly due to the built in handle (with trigger for sound effects). Toy seems durable. My only complaint is that the rescue hook is what automates the rotor blades, so you pull the cord on the hook and let it go to spin the blades. While that in itself is fun, trying to use the hook to rescue soldiers is more difficult b/c it wants to wind itself back up (hence the 4 star rating instead of 5).

This has been so perfect for my little green army man lover! The two army men it comes with attach inside of the driver seats so they don't fall out. There is a trigger (like a gun) at the handle and that makes Sarge's talking noise. The pull string claw is what you pull to make the helicopter's blades to spin as if they were flying. The claw also opens up like a clip to "save" people or other toys. It is a lot a fun for a little boy that loves Toy Story or Green Army Men!!!!

My son (3 1/2) got this toy for X-Mas and he is loving it. The Helicopter meet my expectations, it is sturdy and very good quality. The only disapointing thing is that only the rescue hook ("the claw!") is making the rotor blades move, it would be much more fun, if the rotor could be automated by the trigger and the sounds by an extra button - that would make sense.
Unfortunately, the soldiers are way too small for this size of helicopter. There is no "sitting" figure, also no one, who can be a pilot and - Amazon zoom picture shows two soldiers, one of them is medic with an aid bag. But in the box there is no medic! One of the little soldiers has a radio and another one with binoculars. No medic!!! Very disappointing for my son, since his dad is a combat medic!
But my son resolved all the problems - a guy from some toy construction set is now flying the helicopter (former this guy was operating a forklift). The soldiers from Toy Story Bucket of Soldiers Toy Story Bucket o Soldiers, that he also got for X-Mas - are now performing the duty, since their size comes closer with the size of the helicopter and two little guys, that came with the helicopter - my son calls them "little me".
Summary: a good, realistic and sturdy toy, but needs some improvement. That's why 4 stars and not 5.
