Bubble Bust Oct 10, 2010
By Stylesreview Unit must be mounted on left side of bike per design. It has 2 vertical velcro straps on back that attach to the rear left of the bike.
This presents multiple problems. You must attach the unit to the left side of the bike because the bubbles have to blow out to the rear and if you place the unit on the otherside, the unit would be upside down.
First, the kickstand gets in the way when in the up position.
Second, the child's heel kicks the unit when riding.
Third, the unit moves and slips around, often rotating to face the ground, shooting the bubbles into the pavement. We tried the unit on 3 different sized bikes, 12 to 20 inch. It appears to be designed for a much longer bike where the distance between the pedal and the center of the rear wheel. This is not the case with a child's bike. There is no other place to mount this.
Fourth, I actually found the concept dangerous for a child. Once mounted and operational they were so interested in the bubbles shooting out behind them they did not watch the road ahead of them. (n.b. Modification used, raise seat high enough to accommodate height of unit and then messed around with straps to attempt a horizontal installation, messy, awkward.)

Fun for kids, More fun for adults... Nov 15, 2011
By Dbubbleguy I can understand the concerns when these are used on kids' bikes. Not all bikes are the same structually both adult or child's. I ended up mounting my bubble machine with cable ties. I just used this on the DC Tweed Ride, a collection of 1,000 mostly adults riding through the Nation's Capitol. It brought smiles to many of the riders as well as the tourists who surveyed the "dressed to the nines" cyclists. I heard many oohs and aahs from the crowds and then... "one of the bikes has a bubble machine!!!". Usually it was the kids who spotted this. The machine ran for almost 2 hours straight pumping out bubbles and still had soap when we made our first stop.
My thoughts on the machine: it is well made, works precisely, puts out a decent amount of bubbles for the size of the machine, and has a very good run time. It may take some time and fudging to mount it on your particular bike frame but for the most part it can be done. Perhaps it should be mounted on the adult's bike and then let the children ride behind through a trail of bubbles. In short, I like this machine. My qualifications for making this review are 28 years of making my own bubble machines, both electric and manually operated. ...Dbubbleguy

The Ultimate Bubble Bike Jul 29, 2011
By William Seelos I don't want to add another review of this bubble bike exhaust from the perspective of an adult who doesn't know how to use it. Its a great bubble machine that puts out a ton of bubbles, with the unique feature of being able to be used in motion, attached to whatever you like. I can see how the left side only and two strap velcro design wont work with every bike, but you can get creative with these things. I went to the hardware store and picked up a generic switch, which I wired the wires on the inside of the device to so I could have a switch on the front of my bike, while leaving the device battery powered. It has been working great, but as expected doesn't work above speeds of 10-15 mph or when its really windy. Here is a video of it in action [...]

Bubble disapointment Sep 12, 2010

I bought this after seeing the review in Parents magazine and was very dissapointed in that it did not fit my four year olds Diego bike with training wheels. The velcro straps don't work correctly and the it must be pointed at an upword angle other wise the bubbles just go straight into the ground after coming out the back of the bike. It took about 10 minutes of messing with the solution container and he blower to get the bubbles to come out. Maybe a larger size bike for an older child would have a large enough support bar to fit the bike exhaust blower.
