Giga Ball is a total waste of money. Dec 27, 2008
By Amy Evans
"Dark Neopagan"
I bought this toy (51" Giga Ball)for my 3 children for Christmas. I didn't actually inflate it until the day after Christmas. Here it is 2 days after Christmas and all of the clear sections on the ball are popped and deflated. Several of them popped just while being inflated. My daughter says it doesn't matter if you inflate it by mouth or compresser, it still pops and deflates. This toy cost me about $60 and it will probably last another few days before it goes into the trash......It is fun but is not worth $60, and it isn't durable AT ALL. It was used on grass, after the yard was carefully cleared of debris, and it still pops....TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!

It's a winner May 14, 2008

I gave this ball to my granddaughters, ages 3 and 5, last year. They loved it and so did all of their friends in the neighborhood. They continue to play with it this year but some of the baffles have finally gotten holes in them. It was such a hit that I am back for another. This ball is a winner and has given my girls tons of fun play.

Bursts at the seams Apr 13, 2009
By S. Monroe This ball was SO much fun!! (for one afternoon.) The first section popped after about 20 mins of play. This was on our flat, sodded section of lawn. No rocks, sticks or obstacles. By the end of the afternoon 6 sections had popped. All at the seams so the patches will not work to fix the leaks. Until the manufacturer makes a higher quality item- I'll be saving my money.

Save your money Mar 26, 2009
By mamadayton Save your money, Im so disappointed in this toy. We bought it for christmas this year, it didnt last a week before the white plastic sections were busting open at the seams....lot of a good a patch will do ya when the hole is in the seam. I thought about calling and asking for a replacement ball, because the kids absolutely LOVED the idea...its unfortunate it wasnt made with a more durable ball...kind of dumb to market it the way is is "for outside and indoor use" when you arent even going to make sure it will hold up. Exspensive junk!

Holds up to rough play Jul 30, 2009
By Noname I got this for my kids about two years ago. I take it out on rainy days when they are going out of their minds cooped indoors. I have yet to take this outdoors because then it would get so dirty I couldn't bring it back indoors and also because I think the sprinkler heads might pop it.
The kids were about 2 and 5 when I first got it. They loved it then and they love it now. It's more fun when more kids are over. They jump in and out of it, push it around, and put blankets inside to make it into a clubhouse. So far, knock wood, no one has gotten hurt.
The kids are pretty rough with it. It's lasted this long, I think I've gotten my money's worth. This year, it's developed a slow leak somewhere, so I think it's on its last legs.
It takes a long time to blow this up. You'll need a machine. One valve inflates two yellow chambers. The clear chambers have their own valves. At first, I didn't know how the valves and chambers worked, but the yellow chambers share air with a neighbor through a small hole. When you blow up one, you blow up the other. If the hole is blocked, you need to squeeze it to let the air through or else you only inflate one chamber. When that happens, the chamber you inflate will slowly lose air to its neighbor and you have to pump in more air. Just takes more time to do it that way ;and it may be frustrating the first time, when you think you've inflated a chamber and later see that it's flat.
This is one of those things you blow up and leave there for a week, because it's as much of a pain to deflate as to inflate, if not more.
The kids roll around a little in it. It doesn't roll as easily as a ball because the sides are not hard plastic. The kids don't mind. Be careful that they don't try jumping on the outside while someone is on the inside. It could suffocate the kid inside.

UPDATE: This ball comes in both red and yellow. It also comes in the 51 and 81 inch size. I found the 51 inch size to be adequate for younger kids. That's what we bought (in yellow). We had four preschool kids inside of it at one time.
