Cute Book for Little Boys Jul 31, 2010

I am the father of two boys ages 6 and 4 and they love Mater Tall Tales. We have the other Mater books too. There are three separate stories in this book and each one takes about 4-7 minutes to read but my boys like to read all three books in one sitting. The artwork is also very nice in this book. It would be nice if Disney also made a DVD of Mater Tall Tales. The book arrived in a timely manner and in good condition. There is not a dust jacket with this book.

Hi there,
Well, it bothers me that the product identification states this book is for boys. Girls, like my own daughter, love cars too. She is in love with this book. Especially the big monster truck that has a scoop, a claw and a hugh metal ball. We make up stories about this truck all the time as it invades our neighborhoods and is out in our yard. It is a cool book.

I have a 4 year old who loves to read. These stories are easy for him to understand while still challenging his (advanced) reading ability. The book is an attractive hardcover with shiny good quality paper. There is between 1 and 4 lines of text on each page. As previous reviewers have said this book is not just for boys, many girls would enjoy the stories as a change from the usual ones about princesses and fairies.

My 3 year old son got this Mater's Tall Tales book for Christmas and loves it. The stories are much like the animated short films and the photos are excellent and capture the animation of the Pixar films. They are very crisp and clear and stories are short enough to read to a young child while telling the whole tall tales of Mater. A great book for all Cars Movie fans young and old.

My son, who was 2 1/2 when we got this, LOVES this book. He especially likes the Tokyo Mater story, especially after seeing the episode online (that was before the DVD came out, which is another must). We read this over and over. The pages are nice and thick with vivid, colored pictures. The pages hold up to lots of turning by excited little hands. Of course, Kevin then had to add to his car collection and get some of the characters introduced in this book, but he'd probably end up with them at some point anyway.
