ripped off Jul 12, 2010
By tugboat I ordered 10 Lego Minifigures for $1.99 each from Toy Trading Company but they charged me $4.99 each for shipping and handling. All figures were packed in the same box with a shipping weight of 6oz. Toy Trading company was completely unhelpfull in explaining why they were charging me more than twice as much as my order for shipping 6oz. of plastic parts. Don't make the same mistake I did. It is ridiculous and I feel ripped off. They have now changed their prices but their shipping policy is still the same. This is a total rip off.

Good idea but poorly handled Jun 23, 2010
By sillygirl I'm an adult fan of Lego and I was really excited about these mystery Lego figures. In the past I've done the "mystery" bag/pack thing (Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering) so I understood going in that just because you buy 20 packs doesn't mean you are going to get everything you hoped for (seriously, I must have opened 50+ Pokemon card packs in the 90s looking for a Charizard and I never got one). That's kinda the point (and fun) of the "mystery" bags really. But I'm not impressed with the way Lego has handled these items. Why? Because I think:
1. There should have been more made available to the public. If Lego had made more available, there would definitely be less opportunity for toy dealers and scalpers to jack the prices on a silly $2 item. I understand the whole supply/demand thing and wanting to get as much profit as possible, especially from adult collectors willing to spend large amounts of money, but seriously. This is a $2 toy.
2. There should have been a wider variety available of the "rarer" minifigs like the zombie or robot. I'm seriously not impressed with now owning 5 crash test dummies. To tell you the truth, if I weren't so afraid of getting another crash test dummy, I'd totally have spent MORE on these things.
Really, I don't care if a spoiled kid cries every five minutes because mommy and daddy can't get him the Lego minifig robot he's DEMANDING (come on now, these mystery packs are supposed to be FUN), but I DO care that Lego seems to have dropped the ball on this as far as making the fans happy. Yes, they are a corporation looking for profit, but how about for once actually delivering a quality product in appropriate quantities?

Awesome toys! Sep 27, 2010
By Nelson Ng These are some awesome toys at a great price. It's great that Lego created these minifigures. It's created such a great hype and I love the element of surprise (except when I get 5 of the same figures) but these are so addicting. They are VERY popular amongst the kids and make great rewards. Whenever my kid does something great, I'd let him grab a pack out of my reward stash. They are hooked and love the idea of opening a small package to get a minifigure. Kudos for Lego.
For those complaining about the price, you see the price prior to paying. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to buy. For me, $5 shipped to my place is money well spent. I don't have to drive to Toys r Us or Lego store and spend gas to hunt them down.

best $2 I've spent in a LONG time Jun 25, 2010

I'm hooked on these little figures and have made countless trips to TRU, LEGO stores and LEGOLAND. I have quite a # of these little guys now for both myself and my son. I can tell you that there are NO RARE figures. LEGO did not make more of one figure over another. With a case consisting of 60 figures and a set consisting of 16 figures your going to have a few less of a few figures. Each case has ATLEAST 3 OF EACH figure (16 x 3 = 54) so don't blame LEGO if you can't find a certain figure. In my hunting I've come across cases that have had certain figures like the zombie, robot and cheerleader missing so you have to blame the collector(s) or Ebay sellers that are creating a artificial market for these which is pretty sad.
Also if your not aware yet YOU CAN TELL WHICH FIGURE IS IN EACH BAG. Each bag has a different UPC code in the upper right corner on the BACk of the bag. Each of the 16 figures has a unique UPC code. Do a search on the net for the UPC code list and match it to each figure. If you order on-line then your truely gambling since you cant find out what figure it is until after you buy it. The cases are packed in a way where all of the same figures are together so where someone ordered some from LEGO and got 4 crash test dummies that was becasue the person at LEGO who filled your order just grabbed 5 figures out of a case. IMO I think LEGO should just sell cases of 60 figures on-line instead of being able to buy 5. I DO NOT THINK LEGO SHOULD SELL A SET OF the 16 figures since that kinda defeats the purpose IMO.
I hope this helps those having problems finding them.
