BEST Journal for K thru 5th - Draw AND Write!! Feb 26, 2011

This is an amazing product that we are using for our 5-year old. He dictates his journal entry to one of us, then draws a picture to match, or he draws a picture then tells us what it is about and we write it in.
The top of each page is plain white, and the bottom 2/3 to 1/2 of the page is lined (larger lines for their handwriting if they are writing). It has been so fun to see his language skills progress, and starting in first grade he will be writing some of his own journals or copy what he has dictated to us.
Fosters creativity AND language skills! We plan to use these through most of Elementary school for all our children.
The grandparents love to sit down and read these with the grandchildren, and of course the children ALWAYS love hearing what they wrote and remembering events that happened.

These journals have a very durable feel and I love the printed alphabet on the inside. My kids were so excited to practice their handwriting. We just purchased the Draw Write Now series and these notebooks accompany the lessons perfectly!

Our local Staples, Target and Walmart stores did not have these journals anymore even though the circular ads had them pictured during the Back to School sales. Our order came in earlier than expected so that was awesome.

my daughter needed a book cause she just started headstart.i went to about 3 walmarts and even a store called t.a.p.s which is a scholl supply store no luck anywhere until i came to amazon.
