Not the same... Mar 23, 2010
By - Nostalgic I was hoping this would be as fun for my 3-year-old as the original Sit-N-Spin was for me in the early 80's. It doesn't come close to the quality. It's lighter weight and he had a hard time spinning it. I thought maybe he just hadn't gotten the hang of it. I got on e-bay and saw that the originals were selling on average for $50 but found one with torn stickers for $25. We got it in the mail and he started spinning fast right away and has been having fun with it all week. I love the sound of the old ones. These new ones just don't compare in the least. Big disappointment.

Not the same as it used to be Mar 31, 2010
By T. Ogaard I used to play on my friends sit and spin when I was a kid, so I thought my almost 2 year old daughter would like it too. I got her on it and she tried to spin and moved about 2 or 3 inches. I tried to spin her to no avail. It just isn't fun and I plan on taking it back.

Boring and slow Mar 23, 2010
By L. Cabrera I was so excited to see the return of the classic Sit and Spin. I'd heard the musical one was loud and annoying and just wanted the simple model for my daughter. It arrived promptly and it took minimal time and effort to assemble.
The problem is that the Sit and Spin is slow. So slow my daughter isn't interested in it. The inside bearing it too tight and won't allow it to spin like it should. However, this isn't something you can adjust yourself. I plan to call Playskool and complain but already threw away the outer box so I'm not sure what my return options are to Amazon.
The original Sit and Spin was fast and fun. This toy is so slow that it's more of a sit and turn. Overall I am very disappointed in this toy. If it's made to spin this slowly, what's the point?

HORRIBLE!!! Aug 14, 2010
By Anonymous Do not buy this- you will only be disappointed. This is NOT the sit n spin of YOUR childhood (1970's). This is made of extremely cheap plastic and does not spin well at all. We actually returned ours and bought a used one from ca 1975 on ebay. Obviously this toy is a classic, but do yourself a favor and go find a used classic, because the new ones are junk.

It just doesn't work Apr 24, 2010
By B. Lemer This product just does not spin with any child on it. I could barely push my 2 year old around when she sat on it. Bad Product Do Not Buy!! The only reason I gave it a 3star on educational is that my son said "Daddy, this doesn't work! This is the worst toy ever." He learned a good lesson. Amazon was great about returning it though.
